Marie Stopes International has been providing sexual and reproductive healthcare services in the United Kingdom since the organisation was founded in 1976.

Our services include:

  • Abortion advice, information and treatment for women with unplanned pregnancies or for those who choose not to continue with a pregnancy.

  • NHS and private services.

  • Access to 24 hour pregnancy options advice, appointment booking and post-treatment support services.

  • Professional, impartial and non-judgemental counselling.

  • A full range of contraceptive services, including short-term, long-acting and permanent methods of contraception.

  • Testing for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.

  • Comprehensive private health checks for both women and men, including cancer screening.

In the UK, we are best known for our high quality abortion services, which are used by 70,000 women a year. Our network of clinics and local community services, supported by our confidential 24 hour helpline, is among the best in the country - thanks to our outstanding teams of clinical, management and support staff.
