Women's right to health and wellbeing

On International Women's day, Glenys Kinnock delivered a speech to The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists on 'Women's right to health and wellbeing'. Here she shares with us the full transcript.

“It is justice, not charity, that is wanted in the World”.

So wrote one of my heroines, Mary  Woollstonecraft, in her  book "Vindication of the Rights of Women" in 1792.

Her words, written over 200 years ago are, I believe, as relevant and challenging today as they were in her time,  and  they remind us that the search for justice is one of the oldest struggles in human history.
