Benefits - International Division (UK based)
For your dedication, passion and hard work you will be rewarded with our support and benefits, both financial and non-financial. This includes our on-going commitment to your personal and professional growth through annual performance appraisals, training and a range of opportunities.
Marie Stopes International is an attractive place to work in part because of the work environment created by our team members. We’re not just talking bricks and mortar (after all, we work in some pretty interesting and unusual places), we also mean that we can guarantee that you will be surrounded by focused, intelligent, high-achieving, talented individuals.
As a team we all contribute in our different ways, with our unique skill-sets and personal attributes helping us achieve our Mission. Marie Stopes International is an innovative, visionary and enjoyable place to be. We’re proud of that, and its one of the things that keeps us coming back day after day.
Salary
While we are a non-profit or social enterprise (a business with a social rather than a financial goal), our aim is to offer competitive salaries and benefits and to support this we conduct regular salary benchmarking exercises.

Bonus payments
MSI may from time to time introduce bonus schemes for individuals and teams. Unless it is stipulated in the individual’s contract of employment these schemes are entirely discretionary: they do not form a contractual obligation and may be removed at any time.
Where MSI does operate such schemes, the following principles will apply:
- bonuses are paid at the end of the calendar year, or upon receipt of the finalised results for the calendar year
- bonus payments will only be made to team members still employed by MSI at the point that the bonus becomes payable
- to be eligible to receive a bonus, team members must have completed their six month probationary period by the end of the calendar year
- team members joining MSI during the course of the year, taking maternity leave or a protracted period of sick leave will be eligible for a pro-rated bonus
- team members who have received a written warning under MSI’s disciplinary procedure will not be eligible for a bonus payment in that year
- bonuses are based on individual performance (for example, going way beyond the normal job or achieving exceptional results); as such, payments to different team members will vary greatly according to differing levels of contribution
