South Sudan

South Sudan became an independent state on 9th July 2011 following a 2005 peace deal which ended a long-running civil war. In January 2011 a referendum was held in which a majority of South Sudanese voted to form a new country.

Services offered Antenatal care (ANC); posnatal care (PNC); STI screening and treatment; voluntary confidential counselling and testing (VCCT); male circumcision services; ultrasound services; laboratory services; family planning (FP); post abortion care (PAC).

We also offer primary healthcare services under  the Building Strong Families (BSF) project in Unity state

    • behaviour change communication and demand creation activities to increase the Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (CPR)
    • contribution towards the reduction of the world’s highest Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR).
