Family planning
It is estimated that the unmet need for family planning will grow by 40% during the next 15 years. 
Worldwide there are more than 80 million unintended pregnancies each year and one woman dies every minute from a pregnancy-related causes. More than 200 million women who want to plan their families do not have access to basic family planning services.
Marie Stopes International (MSI) provides a full range of modern contraceptive methods so that clients have the widest possible choice, and in 2008 provided:
- 143 million condoms
- 7.9 million contraceptive pills
- 779,000 contraceptive injections
- 502,000 IUDs
- 90,000 contraceptive implants
