Highlights

  • won a grant from the European Commission to expand access to services for IDPs in North East Sri Lanka
  • over 6 million condoms distributed in 2006 alone

Future plans

  • work alongside the District Health Authority in the North to provide a comprehensive range of sexual and reproductive health services which will benefit 50,000 conflict affected people
  • expand the social marketing programme to include longer term contraceptive methods such as contraceptive injections and IUDs
