Highlights 

  • one of the leading reproductive health providers in Nepal – in 2006 alone, Sunaulo Parivar Nepal carried out 44% of all sterilisations and 70% of all abortions in the country
  • the successful reproductive health training centre which is fully accredited by the Government of Nepal. As well as providing training for Sunaulo Parivar Nepal’s team members the centre also attracts clinical trainees from the public sector and other NGOs
  • recently launched Feminyl – an oral contraceptive pill brand

Future plans 

  • have a network of more than 60 clinics offering the full range of sexual and reproductive health services by the end of 2008
  • increase the number of longer term methods (i.e. IUDs and contraceptive injections) provided through the social marketing programme
