Highlights

Banja La Mtsogolo provides 31% of all family planning services in the country
significantly reduced the number of STIs and scabies in all prisons in Malawi as a result of the Banja La Mtsogolo prison health screening programme
the scale up of outreach to 202 rural community sites and the provision of free services to rural communities thereby complementing the Government’s scale up of the Essential Health Package
the integration of a pilot anti retroviral treatment programme with existing services

Future plans

reach an even greater number of clients during 2008
introduce male circumcision as part of fight against the spread of HIV in Malawi
establish a social franchise network to help expand access to quality sexual and reproductive services
