Highlights

  • contracted by the Government to provide services on their behalf
  • largest social marketing programme in the Marie Stopes International global partnership – selling 75 million condoms in 2006 alone.
  • expanded the social marketing product range – now 3 condom brands as well as oral contraceptive pill, emergency contraceptive pill, contraceptive injection and an IUD brands. As well as an own brand condom and a contraceptive pill, Populations Health Services India also now market brands on behalf of the Government of India
  • 1st to launch Marie Stopes International’s own brand medical abortion pill

Future plans

  • go nationwide with the social marketing programme by 2011
  • expand the clinic network further into more states (currently have clinics in 3 states)
