Highlights 

  • successful marketing campaign for TRYTiME condoms during the recent South Pacific Games in Samoa
  • broaden the reach of the social marketing programme within Fiji, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia and Tuvalu,
  • relocation of the Open Door Healthcheck Clinic in Suva resulting in an increased numbers of clients accessing quality sexual and reproductive health services
  • broadened the range of sexual and reproductive health services offered at the clinic

Future plans

  • expand the Garment Factory Workers Project to include students from tertiary institutions throughout the main island of Fiji
  • introduce comprehensive outreach services
  • establish a multi media unit which will include puppets, drama, music and DVD production in order to help spread information about sexual and reproductive health more effectively
  • train and equip Bula Ladies to sell contraceptives and provide information on outreach services to remote areas of Fiji. Bula is Fijian for hello and the Bula Ladies concept is based on the Avon Ladies concept
