Highlights 

  • integration of VCT (voluntary counselling & testing) services into the clinics 
  • 90% of all clients that have an abortion at Marie Stopes International Ethiopia leave with a family planning method
  • development of data collection systems during 2006; the information gathered has then been used to improve and develop the services offered to clients 
  • launch of the social franchising programme with the private sector

  • major nationwide scale up of clinics and outreach services
  • develop the social franchise network and increase the number of franchisees
