Highlights

  • first clinic in Austria to offer safe abortion after it was legalised in Austria
  • performed the first vasectomy live in front of the media
  • seen as the most experienced “vasectomy clinic” in Austria
  • in a safer sex / contraception awareness campaign, distributed thousands of condoms and information to young people as they departed for their holidays at the Vienna airport during the summer

Future plans

  • extend the range of services offered and reach a larger number of clients, particularly young women and men, via the www.proU.at website
  • continue to work with the government to support poor people who want to, but cannot access safe abortion services
  • begin a series of workshops about contraception to schools, universities, training centre for nurses, teachers, etc.
