Highlights
  • expanded the clinic network 7 to 10 clinics in the past year, including opening the 1st Marie Stopes International clinic in Victoria
  • a series of Australian firsts: 
    •  launched an online advisory webchat service for abortion at: www.abortionhelp.com.au and vasectomy www.vasectomyinfo.com.au 
    •  first provider to publicly launch the provision of medical abortion using methotrexate following a successful pilot scheme 
    •  launched the first SMS sexual health help text message service for young Australians

Future plans

  • work has now commenced on a new state-of-the-art healthcare clinic in Midland, Western Australia due to open during the Australian Winter of 2008. The Midland clinic was the 1st Marie Stopes interatnatonal clinic to open in Australia 7 years ago and since then it has provided sexual and reproductive healthcare services to over 18,000 Western Australians
  • continue to expand access to all services by harnessing new technology
