Highlights

  • contracted by the Ministry of Health to provide various sexual and reproductive healthcare services on their behalf in 5 districts in 3 provinces
  • successful male circumcision pilot in Nyanza Province. Male circumcision is the latest weapon in the fight against HIV and the outcome of the pilot in Kenya will now lead to male circumcision services in seven countries in Sub-Saharan Africa being introduced
  • expanded the social marketing product range to include emergency contraception and scented versions of the RAHA condom

Future plans

  • expand the number of clinics and outreach programmes across Kenya
  • introduce a number of new social marketing products - including pregnancy testing kits, and a new condom brand aimed at low income clients
  • expand the AMUA social franchise network
