Marie Stopes International is at the cutting edge of family planning and reproductive healthcare provision and works with research partners to ensure developments and innovations are rolled out to communities around the world.

One example of this is the collaboration between Marie Stopes International and the leading research institution Population Council in a new programme in Ghana to develop and implement strategies for increasing access to medical abortion. The collaboration with Population Council plays to the strengths of the two agencies bringing new technologies developed in partnership with research agencies to underserved communities.
